Price: US$22,950 Listed: 4 Sept 2006 Sold: 30 Oct 2006 FOR SALE: # 397 1970 Boss 302 (Withdrawn for Restoration)
Details:
1970 Boss 302, VIN 0T02G167961, bright yellow in colour,
black deluxe int, numbers matching engine and gearbox
(believed to be, as both have been stamped slightly
incorrectly, but i am told that was common. Numbers on
engine and trans are 0T01796 which is not even a full VIN
for a Boss or mustang - check the Boss 302 registry to
confirm). 61k original miles. Has an original mustang
shaker installed, but from factory was a NON-shaker car. A
lot of the parts for it have already been media blasted,
painted and wrapped up ready for reinstallation. I have
marti report for it confirming its a real Boss 302. Has
been restored before in the USA sometime ago and had 2 x
quarter panels installed at that time. Had some bodgy
patchwork on the floors here and there, but nothing that's
not easily fixed. You can see from the pictures where they
have used like a corking compound on the floors
and they used body filler to hold thin pieces of aluminium over the holes in the floor. The original deluxe black interior is in mint condition, showing very little wear. Its a tach dash car, with the woodgrain dash panels 'without' a clock. Has original Ford magnum 500's & BF Goodrich tyres. 3.50:1 traction lok N case rear end. Original Boss 302 front fenders and is a very straight looking car. Has some rust around the bottom of the doors, and bottom corners of the rear windscreen, but i tracked down replacement sections from a US wrecking yard to rectify that. I also sourced some patch panels for the floors. It looks like the bottom plate of the torque boxes needs attention/replacement, but the rails look to be solid. The car is now partially pulled down, as i started the resto. I now have too many projects going and don't have the time to do it. A very complete car. Was running very well prior to the engine being pulled. Drove better than any of my other Mustangs and was very quick. It was fully registered prior to being pulled down about 6 months ago. Needs full resto. Price: AUD$70,000 Listed: 1 Sept 2006 Withdrawn: 29 Dec 2006 FOR SALE: # 396 1967 GTA Coupe (Sold)
