FOR SALE: # 781

1970 Mach 1  (Withdrawn by NZMustang.. no reply to emails)

Details: Very nice true Mach 1, VIN# OR05M122188. All original #'s matching 351C-4V with original FMX transmission. All original sheet metal with no rust. Spent first 22 years with first owner in southern California. Then the next 18 years with second owner in Carson City, Nevada, so it has always been in dry atmosphere. Always garaged. Second owner had it repainted same factory color and engine rebuilt to factory spec 5,000 miles ago. When it was rebuilt he added a set of Hooker Super Comp headers (still have the original exhaust manifolds that go with the car as well as the original air cleaner and distributor). The distributor on it now is a Davis Unified Electronic HEI unit so no points or coil. He had a full suspension rebuild with Sacramento Mustang Ultimate Performance Kit, which is essentially a Shelby package. All new front & rear springs with urethane bushings, handles like a modern sports car. Interior is factory black and the door panels were replaced, no cracks in the dash or anywhere else, has not been hacked. The driver seat has a correct new seat cover installed and has new foam. The passenger seat has just had a new cover fitted. All gauges work except the clock. This a factory air conditioned car, however it needs a new compressor. So....not a show car as it sits, but a perfect candidate to make one from, or have fun and drive it as is without doing anything to it. This car will only go up in value and should be looked at as an investment. The exterior is nearly perfect, suspension better than new, and the engine is fresh. Note: The wheels shown in the pictures do not come with the car; it comes with the factory wheels.

1970 Mach 1

Details: 1970 Mach 1. This stunning Mach 1 was restored approx 18 months ago and is a show winner. During the restoration the car was stripped to bare metal (photos available to serious buyer) and retains all of its original sheet metal. This is not a recovered rust bucket. All running gear, interior, glass etc removed for a high end paint job. The car has been re-sprayed in its factory "Grabber Orange" paint scheme and has the factory "Shaker" as an option. All trim has been polished and in excellent condition. Chrome replaced where needed. This definitely stands out from the crowd.  This Mach 1 comes with the factory 351c 4v and is backed up by a FMX automatic and the venerable 9 inch ford diff. The engine was inspected and runs well. It has a mild cam and Competition Cams roller lifters for improved performance. It has a new Holley carb. The spark is provided by and new MSD control box and Mallory dizzy. This ensures fuel and spark are spot on. In between there is a new torque converter and the FMX was also rebuilt. The diff is a 9 inch Posi and was rebuilt by Diffs are Us. The driveline and suspension is very tight and will give years of trouble free motoring.  A significant amount of money has been spent making this car an excellent example. New Konis, exhaust system, tires etc etc makes this vehicle start, steer, and stop well. There are few better.  In 1969 there were some carry over fastback body shells in to 1970. Ford decided to market these cars as "Grabber Mustangs". This was primarily a cosmetic package with all cars in a grabber colour. The reflective Boss 302 decals were also added less the Boss 302 cut out. This led to a leaner and racier look. This Mach 1 replicates that look.  A deluxe Marti report is provided verifying factory options. Serious enquiries only. No tire kickers, test pilots etc.
