World-wide National Mustang Day Celebration hits Christchurch April 17

April 17 1964 is the official birth date of the iconic Ford Mustang, being the day when the allnew Mustang first appeared in Ford dealerships across America, accompanied by wall to wall advertising and record showroom crowds. The legend was born!

With the new Mustang now a truly global product in LHD and RHD models, Mustang owner clubs from the US to Europe to NZ now celebrate this special date across the world by organising gatherings for Mustang owners and their pride and joy, from the very first models to the very latest, coming together and celebrating the Mustang spirit that all
Mustang owners share.

Here in Christchurch, the Canterbury Mustang Owners Club is hosting a special yet informal “show and shine” event on Easter Monday April 17, between 1 and 4pm at Canterbury Agricultural Park, Curletts Road.

All Mustang owners, with models from 1964 classics to the very latest 2017 RHD models (and every model in between), are warmly invited to join in.....the event is open to everyone, whether a member of the CMOC or not. The National Mustang Day display is also open to the public, with no cover charge. Gold coin donations to the Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust will be collected.

This is a once a year opportunity to come and see the wide range of Mustangs on display, to admire the cars and talk with the owners. Last year’s display exceeded 200 Mustangs! What will it be this year? See you there!
