Waitangi Weekend -
Rangiora Muscle Car Show
Once again the weather nearly
foiled the day! Several CMOC members ventured out to
Rangiora on the Sunday, traditionally the biggest and best
day for the organisers of the event. This year was no
exception, the cold blast did not
seem to deter the many car enthusiasts on the day, with
plenty of cars and other entertainment to enjoy. One
total downpour saw everyone run for the cover of
either the grandstand or their cars, but it only lasted a
few minutes
so didn't 'dampen' the spirits for too long.
Sunday January 18th 2004
A Picnic at the Groynes
was arranged for all those who were not away on
holiday. The terrible early morning weather left everyone
humming and Hahing about whether or not to go.
Eventually there were a few patches of blue sky and
about 20 people ventured out to the Groynes for another
enjoyable afternoon of relaxed socialising and
story-telling!
