Wellington Event: - Global Ocean Race Yachts at TSB Arena.
Your Preferential Mustang Parking is available under the TSB Arena Sails from 10.30am Sunday 22nd January. Meet Salvo, the president of the Mustang Club of Italy, www.mustangclubofitaly.it   The Mustang club sponsors the boat skippered by Marco Nannini 'Financial Crisis' in the Global Ocean Race www.globaloceanrace.com  and are very keen to meet members of our Mustang Club.  The regatta arrived in late December into Wellington.  Salvo has met Mustang Club members during November in Cape Town, South Africa, in collaboration with the Mustang Owners Club Western Cape. www.mustangwc.co.za; http://youtu.be/yMwyHTNiMiI
The Global Ocean Race leaves Wellington on 29th January 2012.

If you would like to check out the yachts and meet the crews at the waterfront be there from 10.30am - enjoy the day.

 TRENTHAM RACECOURSE MOONSHINE ROD & CUSTOM CLUB, AMERICAN VEHICLE DAY FROM 10AM – UNOFFICIAL CLUB EVENT. This event is open to the public with Trade Displays, Food Stalls, Kids Rides and a Live Band - The Turbo Rats who have played every show since the show started. Entry fee is $7.00 per person and children under 12 free and driver is free.
Access: MacKays Crossing (exit off SH1 at the rail overbridge interchange).  Bring your best bowling arm and sneakers for a great day out. BYO lunch, drinks and seats/blanket. There will be a few fun activities for the all the family … Don’t worry I have checked with Jim Hickey and he promises it will be sunny! Meeting will be held.

 From 10.30 am  SOUTHWARDS MUSEUM SOUTHWARDS MUSEUM OPEN HOUSE FROM 10.30AM – Now an unofficial Club Event - NO Meeting to be held. OTAIHANGA RD, PARAPARAUMU. Preferential parking for your Mustang, Drivers have free entry. Adults $10, Children under 15  are free; the workshop is open for viewing. Entertainment for children. Sun 18th March 9.30 am Southwards Gear Jammers Cruise. In case you have a few hours free on the 18th March - Gear Jammers have their annual cruise and show leaving Southwards 9.30am sharp. Park up at Kapiti school Paraparaumu. All welcome. With a prize giving at the Waikanae Hotel at 2pm. (No MMOC meeting will be held)
Sun 25th March 10 am Wanganui WANGANUI CHARITY CLASSIC MOTOR SHOW. The Rotary Club of Wanganui South are hosting the 5th bi-annual Charity Classic Motor Show on the Wanganui City College Grounds from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A very popular all comers show with some startling exhibits drawn from large collections and not often opened garages along with a vast array of all sorts of classic cars, trucks and motorcycles and of course Mustangs. Meeting to be held.
Sun 1st April 10 am  Manfield Park, South St, Feilding Manawatu All Ford Day.  10am to 2pm. Show car entry $5.

The Wheels of the 50’s and 60’s is a specialist car exhibit being held in conjunction with the Square Affair Festival on Saturday and Sunday April 7 and 8, Arena Manawatu. Last year’s car exhibit had an amazing and diverse  collection of classic 1950’s and 60’s cars on show from the Golden Era. We are now seeking registrations for car,  motorbike, and moped owners to display their vehicle at his year’s car exhibit. Each exhibitor will be eligible for judges’ prizes and four free adult entries into the car show. Each car will have a storyboard  created which will present the history and story behind your vehicle. All vehicles are to be presented at Arena Manawatu on Friday 6 April between 3-7pm, and collected on Sunday 8 April at 5pm. Registration form and more details here

HAWKES BAY - WEEKEND AWAY - CRUISING IN YOUR MUSTANG. This is a tentative advice currently in the planning stage. 10:30am Te Horo Cafe We are meeting outside Te Horo Cafe to be ready to depart at 10.30am. Morning tea  and meeting at the Te Horo Lavendar farm.   This will be followed by a scenic drive and lunch at the Red House, 885 State Highway 1, Otaki.  RSVP to Jude by Thursday 17th May for morning tea catering. thanks.

 11.00am  Kapiti Kapiti Ten pin bowling 1 Te Tupe Road Paraparaumu. Bowling to commence at 11.am ( bring your best bowling arm) prices $19.00 each for 2 games. Those with the gold card $17.00 each.Lunch and meeting to be held on site.

Manawatu Mustang club to join in with Feilding Rod & Classic - 3 Below Zero August Run
Meet at Feilding Square at 11.00am for start of Car Show, then onto Robert Harris Cafe - Upstairs will be set aside for us. (in Square area).  Lunch 11.30am to 12.30pm followed by quick meeting.  Return to Square before 1.00pm to rejoin in FRCC's short Car cruise around local area, back to dry indoor venue for Prize giving and a hot bbq banger.

John Everest of Otaki has vast collection of Studebakers dating from the early nineteen hundreds until their demise in the mid-sixties. Brian Tizzard has been told by two other car clubs that have visited John’s collection recently that it well worth the effort to come and see.

There is a door entry fee of ten dollars per person.

Directions : Turn off SH1 at Brown Sugar Café into Riverbank Road, Otaki. John’s warehouse is not numbered but it is just along from Spanner Works workshop and just before Titoki Street there is a large Studebaker ‘S’ emblem on the building.

Afterwards we will go on a magical mystery tour of the area arriving at an undisclosed destination for lunch and club meeting.

SUNDAY CHARITY RIDES CARS: On Sunday the cars coming in for the Lunch time rides MUST enter Via Rata Street, opposite Mobile Manfeild. And have their Car Pass on the windscreen as above. And move slowly giving way to RACE CARS at all time, [These guys are pumped and trying to get to pit lane] and proceed to the grass oval. There will be somebody there to park you. Car MUST be available for the lunch time charity rides. You may arrive first thing and watch the racing or as a group BUT you must be on site by 10.30am.The cars can go back on display in the oval for the afternoon, or be driven carefully out and home. We will begin with a slide show of this year’s Convention for you to view, then draw some great raffles, Naresh promises to tell some lies, and have lunch at 12.30pm. Santa to follow.
