The 2000 Mustang convention was held in Auckland on 21 & 22 October.

This year the fastest production Mustang ever built, the amazing Cobra R was on display. One of only 300 built, and the only one outside of the USA at the time.

The conference was centered on the Waipuna Hotel, and the weekends activities were:

Friday: Evening registration and social gathering in the Banquet room of the Waipuna hotel from 7-11 pm.
Saturday: Mustang car show at Turners Car Auctions building in Penrose.
Saturday Evening: Social gathering and Smorgasbord dinner in hotel.
Sunday: Driving skills and drag racing at Ardmore Airfield.
Sunday Evening: "60's theme" Dinner, prize giving, and dancing till midnight.
Monday: Drive out to South Auckland for brunch and farewells.
