National Convention 2006

 
  The 27th National Mustang Convention was hosted by the Manawatu Mustang Owners Club in Palmerston North  on 20-23rd Oct 2006. 
 124 cars and 240 people registered, making it the same size as last years Auckland Convention.

Thursday/Friday Car Preparation & Registration

The convention was headquartered at the Kingsgate Hotel.   Cars arrived throughout the two days and received their ritual cleaning and grooming for the Saturday show-day. The weather on Friday was (unlike the rest of the weekend!) gloriously fine.

About 50 cars assembled in pouring rain Sunday morning at 9.00am for the "Cruise-Quest", followed by lunch at Newbury.

Sunday Evening Prize Giving, Dinner and Dance

Sunday evening was the prize giving and dinner/dance. The event theme was "The letter M".

Monday Morning Breakfast and Farewells

The traditional cooked breakfast was very popular on Monday morning.
